Check with your venue!

It is very important to ensure that you are allowed to serve the alcohol you make with us at your wedding. Usually this requires a special event permit, and the rules vary depending on where the wedding is held. Please be sure to double check with your venue or wedding planner as to what permits are required. Under no circumstances can any product made with us ever be sold.

What wine should I choose for my wedding?

If you're not sure what type of wine you would like, here are our suggestions for wine for your wedding. Of course, you may have favourites that are not on this list that are special to you, so feel free to inquire to see if we can match your tastes!

Please note!

These wines will be ready to bottle 5 weeks from the day they are made. We also suggest aging the wine in the bottles for 4 weeks before your wedding. When aging, they need to be stored in a dark, cool and consistent temperature (such as a cool basement).

Please take this into account when arranging to start the wine with us before your wedding. We would recommend organising early, or at least 9 weeks in advance if possible! If this is not possible, please contact us and we will do our best to make it work for you!

White Wine Suggestions for a Wedding:

Pinot Grigio

A fan favourite, and our best selling wine! Dry, with crisp acidity, the pinot grigio has notes of citrus and green apple which makes for a refreshing sip, especially in the summer! Pairs well with seafood, vegetables, and light pastas and is excellent carbonated for a prosecco-style option.

Riesling

A favourite selection for something slightly "sweeter". An off-dry wine, with mouth watering acidity, the riesling has notes of peach and pineapple which makes this wine smooth and fruity. It pairs well with roasted poultry, as well as spicy foods like Thai or Mexican cuisine.

Sauvignon Blanc

A great selection when you are looking for a little more body in your wine. A dry wine with bright acidity, the herbaceous and tropical notes help make this wine sippable even on its own. Though it does pair well with light seafoods, roasted vegetables and foods cooked with herbs.

Red Wine Suggestions for a Wedding:

Cabernet Sauvignon

A fan favourite with its juicy, fruit forward flavour, the cabernet sauvignon is a dry wine with medium to heavy oak. Notes of black currant, black cherry, toasted oak and well-integrated tannins. It pairs well with meaty options like steak, porobello mushrooms and a good burger!

Merlot

A classic option, recognized and enjoyed by many for it's smooth lusciousness. A dry wine, with medium to heavy oak, with notes of black cherry, fruitcake and smoke, with smooth tannins. Pairs well with roasted beef and poultry, as well as fresh berries and fruit.

Shiraz

A spicier option, but still a classic. A dry wine, with medium oak, the Shiraz has notes of blackberry, spice, and black cherry, leaving a peppery finish on the tongue. Pairs well with BBQ and grilled foods, hard aged cheese and roasted lamb.

Sparkling Wine Suggestions for a Wedding:

Pinot Grigio

Again, a fan favourite, and when sparkling often likened to Prosecco! Dry, with crisp acidity, the pinot grigio has notes of citrus and green apple which makes for a refreshing sip, especially in the summer! Pairs well with seafood, vegetables, and light pastas and is excellent carbonated for a prosecco-style option.

Moscato

A bit of a wildcard here, the Moscato is popular for its deliciously sweet flavours of grape, green apple and pear. When bubbly, the sweetness of Moscato is a little less overpowering, making for a delicious and refreshing wine that is very easy to drink – perfect for speeches!

What beer should I choose for my wedding?

Homepage Beer

Unlike wine, there are no hard or fast rules regarding what beer to serve at your wedding. We recommend that you make the beer that you enjoy the most to personalize your day!

If you are stuck and looking for some easy drinking crowd pleasers, you can't go wrong with:

Lagers

Beechwood (similar to Budweiser)
Zack's (similar to Coor's Light)
Canuck (similar to Molson Canadian)

Ales

BA Blonde
Pale Ale Premium (similar to Okanagan Springs Pale Ale)
Nova Scotia Specialty (similar to Alexander Keith's)

IPA

RADsquatch Cold IPA
BA Citra IPA
BA Hazy IPA

If you wanted to get really fun you could work with us to come up with your own style of beer specifically for your wedding. If you're interested, all you need do is ask!
